On June 5, 2026, we enter the month of the Yang Wood Horse, an energy that brings forward much stronger and more decisive forces than before.
I am including the chart of the month's beginning below:
Yang Wood is the analogy of a strong, mighty tree. It carries strength, endurance, wisdom, perseverance, and resilience. It is protective by nature while also inspiring growth, long-term vision, and motivation. Its most important quality is its
creativity and its abundance of ideas. Because of the Fire (Horse) Earthly Branch, these ideas emerge from
inspiration and intuition, springing to life through inner knowing and insight, potentially opening brilliant new pathways. Due to this energetic symbolism, the deep emotional intensity of previous months begins to lift in June, making way for a powerful desire for growth and a clearer sense of where to go next.
The process of rebuilding and redesigning life is still ongoing, both individually and collectively. This year's energy places significant pressure upon us, forcing us to face depth, endings, and the fundamental question: What is the meaning of what I am doing and the way I am living? The energy of this year illuminates every hidden corner, including the parts that were easier to conceal. It exposes illusions, inauthentic relationships, lies, manipulations, and deeply ingrained nervous system patterns (within the Yang Fire Horse Year Pillar).
The hexagram associated with the
Yang Wood Horse pillar is known as
"The Creative" in the
I Ching.
This hexagram is considered the source of all others because it consists of six Yang lines. Its essential nature is pure creative impulse. It embodies movement, willpower, creative force, and the energy of manifestation. It represents those moments when consciousness receives a surge of motivation and drive to finally begin a new project, business idea, renovation, or life direction.
In June, this force initiates movement both in your professional and family life. Previous stagnation can finally be left behind, allowing you to channel powerful action toward your goals and ambitions. It bestows a natural leadership aura and provides the inner momentum needed to bring your ideas into reality. Something new wants to be born within you, a new form of self-expression, a new sense of vocation, or even a new identity.
What should you be mindful of under the influence of the Yang Wood Horse?
Yang Wood Indirect Wealth structure (IW) is present, adding even more fuel to the fire. If expressed disharmoniously, it can activate impatience, excessive control, dominance, or an inflated ego-driven will, which may generate resistance in others. As a result, the tendency to over-manage life or to keep yourself in constant motion, action, and activity can easily become imbalanced.
In doing so, you may end up punishing yourself. Excessive control can also cause you to unknowingly push through or overstep other people's boundaries.
With the double Horse in the chart, a Punishment constellation becomes active that attempts to guide us through an inner voice pointing toward the correct path. If we fail to listen, however, excessive action, forcefulness, and relentless striving may manifest as illness, accidents, or legal consequences. (The Fire of the Horse is connected to Authority or Influence elements.)
Interestingly, during this Horse year, the activation of the double Horse tends to externalize the conflicts and tensions that we are actually carrying within ourselves.
The combined influence of the
Horse self punishment and the
Yang Wood–Yang Metal opposition draws attention to rules, ethical conduct, and the consequences of disregarding them. In what situations have you been unfair, unethical, or disrespectful of another person's dignity and freedom? Where have you failed to uphold the unwritten rules of mutual respect? Where have you violated ethical principles that the other person deserved?
If such situations exist, June may bring a form of justice or correction regarding them. This can feel like karmic pressure. The best approach is to listen to your own inner voice because the double Horse constellation may teach its lessons through accidents, illness, or penalties until you finally hear the deeper calling of your soul. It encourages you to stop living according to external noise and hedonistic distractions.
This constellation continues to apply pressure until a deeper meaning is sought. This is why many people may have already begun experiencing a sense of emptiness, particularly in situations where the soul can no longer genuinely connect.
One of the most important lessons of the Yang Wood Horse energy is that too many thoughts and ideas may arrive at once, making it difficult to maintain focus. This can delay implementation because the Yang Metal present in the chart also acts to "prune" the excessive branches of this great tree.
As a result, you may feel deeply called toward many different ideas and directions while simultaneously being overwhelmed by chaos and mental clutter. Clarity only emerges when the unnecessary is cut away (Yang Metal!) and you learn to listen to your inner voice.
In its disharmonious expression, the Yang Wood Horse energy can bring melancholy and emotional depth, creating moments when the sheer abundance of possibilities obscures the clear path forward. Yet if you are willing to turn inward during these periods of stillness and depth, a truly brilliant idea can mature within you, one that may ultimately bring great abundance as well. (IW)
Looking further into the dynamics of this pillar, the Fire of the Horse represents an
Output Structure for Yang Wood, symbolizing desires, inspiration, and sparkling creativity. It therefore supports self-expression and self-realization.
This energy favors
public speaking, writing, creative work, communication, and artistic expression. The intelligence contained within the Fire element naturally transmits its motivation, passion, and inner flame to others.
When we also consider the presence of the triple Peach Blossom (2 Horses and the Rooster!) influence, June becomes a time when socializing, meeting new people, and connecting with the outside world happens more easily. We may feel greater confidence, stronger motivation, and a deeper willingness to express ourselves authentically.
June may also support travel, movement, and encounters with people who act as mirrors, triggering the call of your soul. They may awaken something that has been quietly waiting within you, the deeper calling that already exists in your heart.
Yang Metal Dog – A Block on the path of the heart
We enter this month on a
Yang Metal Dog Day. In relationships, vanity, emotional withdrawal, or excessive self-protection may arise. We may feel that something simply does not want to work. Communication may feel strained, blocked, or stagnant. When experienced from a lower state of consciousness, this energy tends to make people build walls, withdraw into themselves, and avoid speaking openly about their feelings and inner experiences. In other words, they do not express their authentic selves. Instead, what becomes important is maintaining a certain mask for others to see whether in friendships, romantic relationships, or professional connections.
Only at a higher level of consciousness can you open a truly aware and emotionally honest dialogue with someone you love. The Dog Earthly Branch is also considered a bullying punishment animal in Chinese Astrology. Therefore, in the presence of the Ox or Goat (or during transit hours or days associated with them), people may find it difficult to admit even to themselves what they truly feel deep inside. The soul places a strange and inauthentic mask on the outside, yet others can sense it.
The Dog is also associated with darkness, the subconscious, and the soul's deep inner silence. Therefore, June is an excellent time to ask yourself: What emotions am I unable or unwilling to admit, even to myself?
At the same time, this energy helps reveal which of your relationships contain genuine emotional depth, truth, and sincerity. The Yang Metal Dog does not tolerate falsehood or emotional masks. Wherever you continue to maintain walls around your emotional wounds instead of honestly communicating them, that relationship may naturally fall away. Life cuts it away through the symbolism of Yang Metal, which resembles a blade or knife.
This is why many people may experience distance, withdrawal, or a quiet drifting apart. As you may feel, this energy brings immense vulnerability, old hurts, painful memories, and inherited traumas to the surface. As a result, consciousness may close itself off and build walls for self-protection. Yet as long as those walls remain, you cannot reach the heart. Once you speak your truth, liberation begins.
The tension between the Month Pillar and the Day Pillar: Yang Metal Dog – Yang Wood Horse
When two pillars form a constellation together through both the Heavenly Stem and the Earthly Branch, their influences strongly activate one another. Therefore, during June, the desire for creative self-expression (Yang Wood Horse) meets emotional vulnerability and fear (Yang Metal Dog).
You may feel that something wants to be born within you, yet you are afraid to reveal it. You may already sense innovative ideas emerging within your vocation or life purpose, but at the same time feel sensitive about how others might respond to them.
This clash can become so intense during June that something beautiful may be born precisely from this tension. Deep feelings, honest vulnerability, and emotional truth can become the source of creation. This is the energy from which the most beautiful love poems, the best books, the most moving podcasts, and unforgettable songs are born. (Also the Star of Arts in the Dog is showing this artful approach)
Whatever your creation may be, infuse it with genuine emotion. Take down your walls, because only then can you truly give something meaningful to others. People can always sense when a creation reaches from one soul to another. They can feel where there are no masks, no roles, no walls, only authentic and profound emotions.
And if you are not creating something in June, you can still become conscious of this energy through your relationships. Observe yourself. Notice how you withdraw, how you retreat into your protective shell. What would happen if you embraced the energy of love and confronted the illusion and pain of separation or shame within the deep inner silence?
For this very reason, June carries exceptionally strong energy for writing, music, spiritual teaching, art, and any personal process of self-expression. At the same time, it will have a profound impact on your connections and relationships.
Finally, we enter this month during a
Yin Wood Rooster hour, suggesting that this is not the time to force new initiatives.
The wisest approach is to withdraw and observe the previous period of your life as if watching a film. Draw your conclusions and bring closure to the thoughts that have been running through your mind. This retreat is not an act of avoidance or surrender. Rather, it is an opportunity to prepare yourself, gather strength, and establish a new foundation for the goals that truly matter to you.
There is also a karmic entanglement between the Hour Pillar and the Day Pillar. Here, growth emerges through a painful experience. Solitude encourages reflection, helping you look back and ask: What really happened? What have I learned from it?
The wounds of the past must be processed within this feeling of blockage and stagnation. Only then can true clarity emerge.
The
Rooster and Dog also represent a karmic position of
harm constellation, which may be experienced in either an introverted or extroverted way.
If you are willing to reveal your vulnerability, dismantle your walls, and communicate openly with another person, this energy can lead to partnership, cooperation, and meaningful communication. In its more withdrawn form, the Rob Wealth Structure of the Rooster signifies letting go and releasing what no longer belongs in your life.
I would like to close with one of my favorite quotations from the I Ching e-book associated with the Yin Wood Rooster hexagram:
“Sometimes the temptation is very strong to respond in kind.
To return every insult, every hurtful gesture. But then I stop. I look.
I see their lives, their inner battles and I realize that life has already punished them enough. There are battles that are not won with words, but with silence.
In the end, everyone can only give what they carry in their heart.
I choose not to return negativity with negativity. Instead, I move forward.”
